Our experience over nearly four decades as leaders in the specialised world of woven rattan furniture increases each year. Working with the same Indonesian manufacturers we continually develop our range of stylish cane furniture for all aspects of home use.
We demand the highest standards and both our frames and cushions are subjected to rigorous testing during development and production to ensure maximum durability.
We use the finest raw materials which grow naturally and profusely in tropical jungles of Indonesia. We select and use premium graded rattan for our cane furniture. This natural resource requires skilled labour to convert it into the fine furniture available for your home.

As with wood, the natural environment in which cane thrives can lead to inherent markings and minor variations in the cane surface. Where possible these are eliminated during the process of conversion into fine frames, but these unique features of this environmentally friendly raw material do not affect the durability of the product. This feature, along with the slight colour variations that may occur, enhances the natural characteristics and appearance of the furniture.
Every Daro chair and sofa, with the exception of dining chairs and the Elements ranges, uses ‘No Sag’ metal sprung bases. Other cane furniture may have rubber strapping which will stretch and sag after time making the seating inconsistent.
Daro is the only major cane furniture supplier to offer this design feature using Galvanised Steel Springs that guarantee comfort year after year. The vast majority of Daro furniture is supplied with leather binding offering the most flexible and long lasting option.
All our furniture is subjected to rigorous quality control.
One cushion normally constitutes two parts - a base and a back. Using the definitive composition of fibre cushion backs and Reflex ® foam seat bases when placed on the Daro “No Sag” metal sprung seat base the result is supreme comfort from the chair or sofa.
The cushion bases are designed to mould to the body shape and recover within an optimum time. The consistent density adjusts with use and may vary from the showroom sample as a result of a different choice of fabric.
Daro cushions are made at our own factory in the UK.
All glass supplied on tables meets required safety standards to BS 6206A but we do not advise placing hot objects such as coffee or tea pots directly onto the surface of the glass.
Look for the Daro label on every frame to guarantee authenticity and assure quality
