Daro’s Hannah Brown enters the British Gas Great London Swim for Cynthia Spencer
Daro's Purchasing Manager, Hannah Brown, will be taking part in this year's Great London Swim in London's Royal Victoria Dock to raise money for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton.
The event which takes place on the 26th of May is now in its fourth year and is the biggest open water swim in the south of England, with 5,000 participants having taken the plunge in both 2010 and 2011. Swimmers set off in waves of approximately 300 people every half an hour.
Hannah will be swimming to raise money for Daro's chosen charity The Cynthia Spencer Hospice Trust. The Cynthia Spencer Charitable Trust funds staff & equipment at the Hospice that are not funded by the NHS, currently funding nine members of staff including Nurses, a Family Worker, Housemothers and the Chaplain. It also administers funds for the county-wide Hospice@Home and Occupational Therapy teams & Hospice-based Lymphoedema service.
