CATALOGUE 2008 - DARO QUALITY CANE FURNITURE

Distinctive cane furniture for the more discerning

Experience

Our experience over three decades as pioneers in the specialised world of woven rattan furniture increases each year.
Working with the same Indonesian manufacturers as in the past we continually develop our range of stylish cane furniture for all aspects of home use.  If its outside furniture you seek, look no further than the Daro Outdoor Living Collection at the back of this brochure.

Quality

Quality is the maxim by which we have grown.  We demand the highest standards to maintain our well-earned and long established reputation.
Dedication to preserving our brand ensures little compromise whether with the frame or cushion.  Both are subjected to rigorous testing processes during development and production to achieve maximum durability.

Assurance

Look for the Daro label on every frame to guarantee authenticity and assure quality.

Unrivalled Formula

Our recipe for success starts with only the finest raw materials.    Although growing naturally and profusely in tropical jungles we ensure top graded rattan is selected for Daro cane furniture. This natural resource requires skilled labour to convert it into the fine furniture available for your home.

Metal Springs
Each armchair, sofa or seating module from our standard range uses “No sag” galvanised steel sprung bases - a feature providing consistently comfortable furniture year after year – unlike rubber strapping which may stretch over time.

Exclusive Cushion Range
Cushions can be made from any one of over forty fashionable fabrics.  We design and manufacture in the U.K. using the latest computer technology at Daro’s Soft Furnishings Division in Derbyshire.  Select your preferred fabric, we cut, sew and fill the individual covers with Reflex® foam for seats or hollow fibre for back supports to produce a comfortable cushion ready for combining with your choice of frame for onward despatch to one of our retailers around the UK and Europe.

  • See the colours and feel the textures in our prestigious swatch.

  • Covers are removable (excluding dining pads) for professional cleaning to preserve the fire retardant coating.

  • Additional lengths of fabric are available by the metre for curtains and soft furnishings

  • All suites may be ordered in any fabric.  Featured fabrics from previous years may sometimes continue to be available.

  • Scatters are available in a range of sizes and compositions – see separate detail.

Toughened Glass

Only the requisite standard of safety glass (BS 6206A) is supplied where used in tables.

Green credentials

Any demand for an environmentally friendly product is easily satisfied by cane and rattan.  With its highly sustainable growth and readily renewed supplies it is the natural option for anyone preferring a “green” choice.

Each item is unique with inherent natural characteristics that may include minor shade variations and insignificant blemishes. Any obvious differences are eradicated during the manufacturing and quality control processes.

Contract Use

Furniture for use in any public area (such hotels, restaurants, nursing homes and clubs) must comply with stricter legislation on fire safety standards for cushions. If this is what you need we are able to supply suitable soft furnishings at additional cost.  Please call for advice and an individual quote.

Fine furniture for home or garden

We are confident that following on from our proven record with cane furniture for any room in your home, we are set to take our place as a major player in the outdoor leisure furniture field.

Our experience ensures that your purchase from either of the Daro  2008 Collections will be the perfect choice for quality and style.

Useful Hints for care of cane furniture and cushions
To enhance the look and help prolong the life of the product we suggest:

  1. A regular wipe with a soft cloth (a light spray of furniture polish may also be applied) to keep frames clean and dust free
  2. In order that cushions wear evenly, rotate, ‘plump’ and where possible turn cushions regularly.
  3. Prevent excessive fading by avoiding direct sunlight.  We recommend the use of blinds, particularly in south facing conservatories, to reduce the effects of harsh sunlight.
  4. Avoid extremes of temperature to prevent adverse damage to fabrics
  5. Remove spills as soon as possible.  Covers where removable are recommended for professional cleaning as any treatment must be suitable for the flame retardant coating.

Where furniture is to be placed upon any floor surface prone to scratch or indent we recommend the use of suitable protection (such as felt pads) under the feet of all furniture.
